About Us

Vulnerable Afghan Women Network (VAWN) is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental community organization established in 2022. Our mission is to promote and protect women’s rights and empower marginalized women, girls, minorities, and youth, particularly among Afghan refugees settled in Pakistan. VAWN was founded in response to the challenges that Afghan women faced following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan on August 15, 2021.

Our Vision

VAWN envisions a world where human rights are respected and guaranteed for vulnerable women, regardless of caste, creed, color, or ethnicity.

Our Mission

Our mission is to pursue our humanitarian vision by forging strategic partnerships with national and international humanitarian communities. We aim to carry out community service delivery and capacity-building initiatives to protect and empower the marginalized and deprived women of Afghan refugees settled in Pakistan.
